See What's Moving Before Wall Street Wakes Up
Most of us hear about a stock move after it happens — an earnings report, an AI contract, a sector suddenly running — and by the time the news reaches us, the opportunity is gone.
We created Elite Trade Club to fix that.
Each trading day, our team publishes a pre-market briefing built for active traders: stocks surging or collapsing before the open, key earnings that could move markets, under-the-radar companies gaining institutional attention, and the macro events worth watching today.

ODDSBRIEFING
Better prices. Selective bets. Clear accountability.
Issue 43 | Published 15 October | Fixtures 17–18 October 2026 | 14% maximum exposure
Last week made 3.53%. Lazio, Brighton and Brøndby won, Lille pushed on a 1–0, and stoppage-time equalisers at Dortmund and Old Trafford took the rest. This weekend: seven positions, 14% in total, across five leagues. The Sharp Take is Como away to a Fiorentina side in 19th, the only selection whose quoted market prices clear its bar, and only just. The largest stake, 3% on Napoli at winless Venezia, is one of five where our analysts are betting the market is wrong. The market check below shows all seven. Napoli kick off first, on Saturday at 15:00.

Lines settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Odds are Betfair Exchange quotes supplied by our analysts on 15 October, before commission. The net floor is after commission. At 5% it means taking the quoted price or better: 1.68 Napoli, 2.11 City, 1.74 the overs, 1.63 Como, 1.80 Brighton, 1.62 Marseille, 1.69 Hammarby. Commission is explained once, in the Bankroll Tip. Como +0 and Marseille +0 are the Asian handicap form of draw no bet. Angers v Marseille has moved to Sunday; earlier listings had it on Saturday. Each selection names the news that would stop us. Bet-by deadlines come before line-ups are confirmed, so each trigger uses news public before the deadline (pre-match press conferences, club injury announcements); if it lands before you’ve bet, re-assess; once a bet is on, hold it. All times CEST.

What Last Week Taught Us
Two things to carry forward. First, the market check. It said only Lazio cleared its bar on public prices. Lazio won, for +2.19; the five it disagreed with went two wins, a push and two losses, for +1.34 between them. One week settles nothing either way. We’ll keep scoring the check against results, and this week’s version is below.
Second, the draw. Both losses were stoppage-time equalisers on lines that lose the full stake on a draw. Dortmund led 2–0 after 85 minutes and drew 2–2 (−1.5%). At Old Trafford Mbeumo scored on 73 minutes, Bentancur was sent off five minutes later, and Solanke still equalised in stoppage time (−1.0%). This week four of the seven selections lose on a draw (Napoli, City, Brighton and Hammarby) and two hand the stake back (Como and Marseille). [1, 4]
The Sharp Take
The Sharp Take is the selection where our analyst’s case and the market’s own prices agree most closely. It isn’t the biggest stake or the biggest modelled edge. This week that’s Como, the only selection whose quoted market prices clear its bar. City’s figure is higher, but it comes from a model, not a price.
Fiorentina v Como
Sunday 18 October · 15:00 CEST · Stadio Artemio Franchi, Florence · Serie A, Matchday 7 [9]
Como +0 @ 1.63 | Net floor 1.59 | Stake 2% | Analyst: Hayes
Sunday afternoon at the Franchi: a Fiorentina side second from bottom on its second coach of the season, against a Como squad that flew home from Rotterdam on Wednesday night.
The case. Fiorentina are 19th with four points from six games, one win and 14 goals conceded. They sacked Fabio Grosso on 6 September and brought back Paolo Vanoli, and lost 2–1 at Genoa last weekend despite 63% of the ball. Como are seventh on 11 points, with nine scored and six conceded, and held Roma 0–0 before the break. Last season Como won twice in Florence, in the league and in the Coppa Italia. [7–8, 12]
The market check. A draw returns the stake, so Como need to win 62.6% of the matches that don’t finish level. Eurobet’s prices on 15 October (Fiorentina 3.55, draw 3.65, Como 1.98) put that at 64.2%. That’s 1.6 points clear, worth about +€1.94 per €100 staked if those prices are right. It’s thin, and the exchange price is no better than the bookmaker’s. The case is that Como are the better side and the draw is covered. [9]
Why 2%. It’s the featured analysis because the market agrees, not because the edge is large: €1.94 per €100 is within the error of any single set of prices. Como also play Manchester United at home on Wednesday, three days after Florence and a week after Rotterdam.
The case against. Como lost 3–2 in Rotterdam and lost Assane Diao, who scored there, to injury. Fàbregas rested Butez, Douvikas and Da Cunha for Fiorentina, but Moise Kean, back in Florence against his old club, is injured and out. Fiorentina won 2–1 at Como in February, and Como have already lost at Frosinone this season. [10–11, 38]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.59. Bet by Saturday morning. If Como’s pre-match news rules out Nico Paz before you’ve bet, re-assess.
The Rest of the Card
Venezia v Napoli
Saturday 17 October · 15:00 CEST · Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, Venice · Serie A, Matchday 7 [14]
Napoli −0.5 @ 1.68 | Net floor 1.64 | Stake 3% | Analyst: Hayes
The case. Six games, six defeats, five goals scored and 16 conceded. Venezia have lost five of the six by two goals or more and conceded at least twice every time. They sacked Giovanni Stroppa after losing 3–1 at Atalanta; Davide Nicola takes his first game, without Busio. Napoli are eighth on ten points, beat Frosinone 3–0 last weekend with De Bruyne scoring twice, and have kept clean sheets in their last four Serie A meetings with Venezia. [7, 14, 19, 43]
The market check. Napoli need to win 60.8% of the time; a draw loses the stake. bet365’s prices on 15 October (Venezia 5.00, draw 3.90, Napoli 1.67) put a Napoli win at 56.7%, and the Kalshi prediction market has 58%. That’s 2.8 to 4.1 points short, about −€4.50 to −€6.60 per €100. The exchange price is the bookmaker price, so there’s no price advantage either. [13, 15]
What would have to be true. Napoli would have to win at least 61 times in 100 at the Penzo. The measurable case for that is Venezia’s record above: no points, five two-goal defeats, and four straight Napoli clean sheets in the fixture. The market’s case against is a new coach’s first game and a 0–0 here in March 2025. We haven’t had Hayes’s fair price, so we can’t show you the number behind his view.
Why 3%. Hayes set the stake before the market check, and the check doesn’t support it. We publish it as he set it. If you size by the check rather than by the analyst, this is the position to cut first after Hammarby.
The case against. Napoli lost 3–1 at Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday, and Allegri is expected to make changes; Anguissa has only just rejoined training and Buongiorno is a doubt. Napoli’s last visit to the Penzo finished 0–0. [16–18, 44]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.64. This is the first kick-off: bet by Friday evening. If Allegri’s pre-match press conference rules out both De Bruyne and McTominay, re-assess.
Manchester City v Ipswich Town
Saturday 17 October · 16:00 CEST · Etihad Stadium, Manchester · Premier League, Matchweek 7 [20]
Man City −2.0 @ 2.11 | Net floor 2.05 | Stake 1% | Analyst: McGill
The case. City have won all six league games, 16 goals scored and five conceded, and won 3–0 at Anfield last Sunday. Ipswich are tenth on nine points with a −3 goal difference; they shipped five at Old Trafford and two at home to Liverpool, and beat Fulham 2–1 last time out. City won the last two meetings 4–1 and 6–0. [20, 22, 39]
The market check. A two-goal win returns the stake. We couldn’t find bookmaker handicap prices, so this is a model estimate: the Kalshi prices Squawka quoted on 15 October (City win 82%, over 2.5 goals 71%), split by Poisson distribution. That gives 21.3% for a two-goal win and 41.7% for three or more, against the 38.3% the line needs, about +€7 per €100 if the model holds. The same page’s live prices have since moved, so treat this as a snapshot. [22]
Why 1%. Three-goal wins are a narrow target, City play four times in ten days, and the positive figure exists only inside a model. That’s the smallest stake on the card. [40]
The case against. City lost 4–2 to PSG on Wednesday, three down at half-time, though ESPN had them ahead on expected goals, 2.57 to 1.83. Maresca will rotate somewhere, and a 2–0 is a push, not a win. [21]
What changes the decision. Net floor 2.05. Bet by Friday evening. If Maresca’s pre-match press conference says Haaland will be rested, re-assess.
Real Betis v Barcelona
Saturday 17 October · 18:30 CEST · Estadio de La Cartuja, Seville · LaLiga, Matchday 9 [23]
Over 3.5 goals @ 1.74 | Net floor 1.70 | Stake 1.5% | Analyst: Nielsen
The case. Barcelona’s eight league games have produced 41 goals: 34 for, seven against, eight wins from eight. Betis are third on 19 points and beat Osasuna 5–2 last time out. Four of the last five meetings had four goals or more (3–1, 3–5, 5–1 and 2–2; the other was 1–1), and the last six all saw both sides score. Betis keeper Álvaro Vallés is making 4.3 saves a game, the most in LaLiga. [23]
The market check. We need four goals or more 58.7% of the time. FOX Sports’ prices on 15 October (over 1.67, under 2.15) put it at 56.3%: 2.4 points short, about −€4 per €100. The exchange price is above the bookmaker’s, but not by enough. Our case is the head-to-head and Barcelona’s scoring rate. [24]
Why 1.5%. Four goals is a high bar in a single match, and the market is close but against us.
The case against. Raphinha, Barcelona’s top scorer, is injured. Barcelona go to PSG on Tuesday and may rotate. A 2–1 or 3–0, both ordinary results here, lose the bet. [23, 41]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.70. Bet by Friday evening. If Flick’s pre-match press conference says Lamine Yamal will be rested, re-assess.
Brighton v Crystal Palace
Sunday 18 October · 15:00 CEST · American Express Stadium, Brighton · Premier League, Matchweek 7 [29]
Brighton −0.75 @ 1.81 | Net floor 1.76 | Stake 2.5% | Analyst: McGill
The case. Brighton are third on 13 points with 18 goals in six games and three league wins in a row: 5–0 at Coventry, 3–0 against Arsenal and 2–0 at Sunderland, ten scored and none conceded. Palace are 12th on seven points with a −3 goal difference, and lost 4–1 at home to City and 3–2 at home to Ipswich. [2, 29]
The market check. The −0.75 pays in full on a two-goal win and half on a one-goal win. Bookmaker prices of 1.61, 4.40 and 5.30, as published on 15 October, give Brighton about a 60% chance of winning. Split by Poisson distribution, a model estimate, that’s 24.4% for a one-goal win and 35.4% for two or more. The line needs 37.4%, which puts it at about −€3.50 per €100. Our case is Brighton’s run: three clean sheets and ten goals in three games. [27]
Why 2.5%. The half-win on a 1–0 softens the most likely narrow result, and the gap to the market is small. It isn’t 3% because Brighton play Kauno Žalgiris in the Conference League tonight and Hürzeler has said there will be changes. [26]
The case against. The derby has gone Palace’s way: three wins in the last six meetings to Brighton’s one, including 1–0 at the Amex in February. Palace beat Forest 3–1 last weekend. Brighton are still without Mitoma, Ferguson, Minteh, Tzimas and Wieffer. Struijk is available: the club confirmed on 14 October that his red card at Sunderland had been rescinded. [25–26, 28]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.76; 1.80 still clears it. Bet by Saturday morning, after tonight’s European result. If Hürzeler’s pre-match press conference reports new injuries from tonight, re-assess.
Angers v Marseille
Sunday 18 October · 15:00 CEST · Stade Raymond-Kopa, Angers · Ligue 1, Matchday 7 [32]
Marseille +0 @ 1.62 | Net floor 1.58 | Stake 2.5% | Analyst: House
The case. Marseille are 13th on six points. They lost four in a row before winning 2–0 at Troyes last Sunday, but their goal difference is positive: nine scored, eight conceded. Angers are 12th on seven and lost 5–1 at Brest last time out. Marseille haven’t lost to Angers since December 2020, and won 5–2 at the Raymond-Kopa in January. [30, 33–34, 42]
The market check. A draw returns the stake, so Marseille need to win 62.9% of the matches that don’t finish level. Polymarket’s prices on 15 October (Angers 29%, draw 26%, Marseille 47%) put that at 61.8%: 1.1 points short, about −€1.30 per €100. Our case is that a side with a positive goal difference is better than its points. [32]
Why 2.5%. Of the five selections the market disagrees with, this is the closest to its bar, and the draw is covered.
The case against. Four defeats in a row is a pattern, not a fluke. Before Brest, Angers had kept two clean sheets in a row, 0–0 at Le Havre and 2–0 against Troyes. [31]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.58. Bet by Saturday morning.
Halmstads BK v Hammarby
Sunday 18 October · 16:30 CEST · Örjans Vall, Halmstad · Allsvenskan, Round 24 [36]
Hammarby −1.5 @ 1.69 | Net floor 1.65 | Stake 1.5% | Analyst: Nielsen
The case. Halmstad are bottom with 14 points from 23 games: 16 goals scored, the fewest in the league, and 44 conceded, four of them at Elfsborg last time out. At home they’ve lost six of 11 by two goals or more. Hammarby are third on 43 points with the best goal difference in the league, +28, and Paulos Abraham has 14 league goals. [35–36]
The market check. Hammarby need to win by two or more 60.4% of the time; −1.5 has no push. bet365 (8.50, 6.00, 1.25) and Unibet (10.50, 5.80, 1.24), observed on 15 October, give Hammarby about a 74% chance of winning. Split by Poisson distribution, a model estimate, that’s 52.3% for a two-goal win: 8.1 points short and about −€13 per €100, the weakest figure on the card. [36]
What would have to be true. Halmstad’s home record alone gets you to 55%: six two-goal defeats in 11. Clearing 60.4% means Hammarby beating that base rate at a ground where they haven’t won in four visits. We haven’t had Nielsen’s fair price, so we can’t show you the number behind his view.
Why 1.5%. Nielsen set the stake before the market check, and the check says pass. We publish it as he set it. If you size by the check, this is the first position to cut.
The case against. Halmstad are unbeaten in the last four meetings at Örjans Vall, two wins and two draws. Hammarby lost the Stockholm derby 1–0 to Djurgården last weekend and dropped to third. [36–37]
What changes the decision. Net floor 1.65. Bet by Friday evening: Swedish lines are thin and move on small money. If Hammarby rule out Abraham before you’ve bet, re-assess.
How We Make The Decision
Lines and stakes are our analysts’ calls. We don’t publish their models, so each selection gets a market check instead. The percentages in the write-ups answer different questions, an outright win, a win with draws removed, a winning margin, so they can’t be compared directly. The last column puts them on one scale: expected return per €100 staked, after 5% commission, if the estimate is right.
Selection · basis | Needs | Estimate | Per €100 |
Man City −2.0 · model³ | Win by 3+: 38.3% | 41.7% | +€7.09 |
Como +0 · market | Win, draws out: 62.6% | 64.2% | +€1.94 |
Marseille +0 · market | Win, draws out: 62.9% | 61.8% | −€1.29 |
Brighton −0.75 · model⁴ | Win by 2+: 37.4% | 35.4% | −€3.50 |
Over 3.5 · market | 4+ goals: 58.7% | 56.3% | −€4.07 |
Napoli −0.5 · market⁵ | Win: 60.8% | 56.7–58.0% | −€4.53 to −€6.59 |
Hammarby −1.5 · model⁴ | Win by 2+: 60.4% | 52.3% | −€13.40 |
³ Kalshi prices as quoted by Squawka, split by Poisson distribution; a two-goal win (push) at 21.3%. ⁴ Bookmaker match prices split by Poisson distribution; Brighton’s bar assumes a one-goal win at 24.4%. ⁵ bet365 and Kalshi. Model estimates rest on the Poisson assumption and are rougher than market figures. All prices observed on 15 October and will have moved [9, 13, 15, 22, 24, 27, 32, 36].
Read it plainly. Two selections come out positive: City on a model, Como on market prices. They carry 3% of the 14%. The other five carry 11%, and on these estimates each loses money. If the market is right, the whole card is worth about −€41 to −€47 on the €1,400 at risk, roughly −3%. Each of those five is an analyst disagreeing with the market, and for the two widest gaps, Napoli and Hammarby, we haven’t been able to quantify why. The stakes are published as set. A reader who sizes by the market check would stake Como and City and pass on or cut the rest. Spreading across seven matches limits the damage from any one result, and the worst single result costs €300; it doesn’t protect against our own errors.
Each reference price is an analyst quote from 15 October. We don’t hold a record of matched liquidity at those prices, so treat them as reference levels. The net floor is the number that binds.
Bankroll Tip
On a €10,000 reference bankroll: €300 on Napoli, €100 on Manchester City, €150 on the overs in Seville, €200 on Como, €250 on Brighton, €250 on Marseille and €150 on Hammarby, a maximum loss of €1,400. Place the Brighton quarter-ball as one bet at the full stake; the exchange splits it into halves for settlement.
Selection · stake | Best case | Middle case | Worst case |
Napoli −0.5 · €300 | +€204.00 (win) | – | −€300.00 |
Man City −2.0 · €100 | +€111.00 (by 3+) | €0.00 (by 2) | −€100.00 |
Over 3.5 · €150 | +€111.00 (4+ goals) | – | −€150.00 |
Como +0 · €200 | +€126.00 (win) | €0.00 (draw) | −€200.00 |
Brighton −0.75 · €250 | +€202.50 (by 2+) | +€101.25 (by 1) | −€250.00 |
Marseille +0 · €250 | +€155.00 (win) | €0.00 (draw) | −€250.00 |
Hammarby −1.5 · €150 | +€103.50 (by 2+) | – | −€150.00 |
Card total · €1,400 | +€1,013.00 | −€1,400.00 |
Before commission, at reference prices. After 5% commission the best case is +€962.35.
Commission and net floors. Net odds = 1 + (quoted odds − 1) × (1 − commission rate). At 5%, Napoli 1.68 nets 1.646, City 2.11 nets 2.0545, the overs at 1.74 net 1.703, Como 1.63 nets 1.5985, Brighton 1.81 nets 1.7695, Marseille 1.62 nets 1.589 and Hammarby 1.69 nets 1.6555. The net floor in the Picks Summary is that figure rounded down. Six of the seven clear it only at the quoted price; Brighton still clears it at 1.80. The gap between odds and floor is commission, not a cushion. If your rate is higher, re-run the sum before you bet.
Don’t roll these into an accumulator: seven legs multiply to about 50, and one loss costs the lot. Bet them singly.

Tracker Method
Opening record: +44.55% over 40 tracked weeks, 26 green and 14 red, as published in Issue 42 and carried forward without re-audit.
Settlement. Dortmund −1.25 drew 2–2: −1.50 points. Brighton +0 won: 3 × (1.74 − 1) = +2.22. Lille −1.0 won by one: push, 0.00. Man Utd −0.5 drew 1–1: −1.00. Lazio −0.5 won: 3 × (1.73 − 1) = +2.19. Brøndby −0.5 won: 2 × (1.81 − 1) = +1.62. Week: +3.53. YTD: 44.55 + 3.53 = +48.08%, over 41 weeks, 27 green and 14 red.
The tracker is additive, on a flat 100-unit reference bankroll, at published prices and before commission. At 5% commission on the week’s winnings, last week would have been +3.23%. On the €10,000 reference, cumulative published profit stands at €4,808.
